Happy Spring ♥

I don't believe I've mentioned the arrival of Spring on the blog yet but if you follow me on instagram and twitter (both @nannaemma) you must have seen me greet Spring happily with a few fancy smiley's more than a few times.

So a 'blog-official' hello dear Spring! It feels much more official on the blog for some reason.

The sun's been out and bright for a lovely while now but I haven't really properly been out since the weekend because I've been ill and pathetic the last couple of days but I did manage to muster up some energy and self discipline and got my rotund behind outside this afternoon. I sat for a good two hours soaking in the sun and it actually made me feel better spiritually and physically. The sun's just good for everything isn't it?

Afterwards I went inside and took these cute snapshots of some Spring-ish bibs and bobs in my room. I don't think I fancy anything as much as I fancy a room filled with flowers and Spring really makes you want to spend a few extra pennies on flowers so my room's looking quite spiffy at the moment if I do say so myself.

Aren't you just loving all the flowers peeking up from the ground, the birds twittering and the sun shining through your window? :)

watching Radio - a movie based on a true story. Very inspiring, very heart-warming.♥ read plot here.

listening to "Life's for the Living" by Passenger - amazing artist, he's in Copenhagen today and I'm terribly sad I can't go. Saw him last year and it was bliss. Amazing voice, listen here.

eating leftovers from yesterday and lots of carrot and red peper.

looking at airplane tickets and London hotels. Want to take mum to London as soon as I can. A real girls trip in my favourite city.

napping with this little darling in the pictures above. Cuddling and snoring, I believe that is the life :)

As promised, pictures of the decor change

So I thought I'd stand by what I said in yesterday's post and actually get around to show you what my little corner looks like. It used to be a lot more messy with lots of small pictures and different coloured tin boxes. This is much more classy and simple and such a nice thing to look at before I fall a sleep. (sometimes I let the fairylights stay on - makes it look like a starry night)

My changeable corner

My room is rather small so there's not enough space to move my furniture around as much as I would like, but I do have this little corner at the end of my bed by my dressing table that I like to change once in a while. It keeps things fresh and stimulates my mind in a weird but satisfying way.

This is what it looked earlier as I changed the picture on the wall, wrapped my tin box in white paper and brought out some old things. I've already changed a few things compared to what you see on the photo. I'd like to show you guys what it looks like after I finished, but it's completely dark outside and I personally prefer pictures taken in the daylight. Might get out my camera out tomorrow and snap a quick picture instead of using by iphone if I'm not too lazy.

Decorating is one of my absolutely favourite things in the world. Whenever I get started on re-decorating it's quite hard for me to stop again. The thought of having my own house/flat to fully decorate one day is giving me the butterflies!

Jar of happiness

A sweet little idea; write down all the good things that happens to you throughout the year and put them in a jar. Take the jar with you on New Years eve or sometime close to the ending of the year and sit and read all the good things you've had in your life during 2013. I'll do my very best to remember to do this!

Where I spend a lot of time

A completely rotten picture of my absolute favourite corner. This is where I blog, write letters, do my makeup, do my hair, pretend I'm a popstar etc. I like it the most when it's dark cause it makes the fairylights so much more cosy and that much more enchanting.

I love decorating and often change little bit ands bobs in my room. This desk has looked very different throughout the years but this is what it currently looks like. It's my favourite corner in the world.

What's on my bedside table?

Usually my bedside table is covered with tea stains and old disgusting gum but I only just got home from England so I expect it'll be a few days before it's completely back to normal :)

Photo #1: My lovely bed and bedside table are just next to my bedroom door. I love my little bits and bobs and my pictureframes. The gold in the right corner is a little mirror I bought in a flea market. I've got loads of stuff like that in my room, think I'll do a room tour if anyone's curious?

Photo #2: A picture of my dad when he was a guard for our queen and an empty pretty bottle for perfume.

Photo #3: An upholstered tin containing my reading glasses and my gameboy and there's probably some old gum in there as well.

Photo #4: Inside my drawer I keep my nightbraces, phone charger, a few photos of old missed animals and one of my granddad. As you can see I also keep the book that I'm currently reading in there. I'm a little more than halfway through Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Been reading HP1-5 throughout December and it's so lovely reading your favourite books during Christmas time.
