Rainy day and swollen lips?

I have to admit that I have a tendency of being a little hypochondriac sometimes. When I woke up this morning I woke up with my first sore blister in my entire life. It was big and yellow (eww) and it had me convinced that it was going to blow up my lip and that it would need a minimum of 7 stitches and possibly a phonecall to the undertaker...
My mum and sister ensuredme, though, that it was a very commen thing to have and with a little hocus pocus creme it would disappear after a week or so. I will not be able to kiss anyone without aggravating it and passing the virus on - damn, there goes my all hot dates I had planned for the week. *waves fist*

Luckily my day cosisted of nothing else than a gorgeous rainyday which was spent with a lovely walk in the rain wearing my wellies and a lot of cosy hours under the duvet med several episodes of my current favourite tv-series Hard of Dixie. Oh and a glass or three of hot berrie lemonade! Mhm, that's my favourite drink in the world, have you tried it? My mum thinks I'm mental for drinking it.

The Starbucks Sisters

Dear chummy readers,
if you are one to follow me on either twitter or on my personal facebook you might have read the wonderful news that I have gotten myself a job. Yup, a real job at a little snug and inviting place on Great Portland Street. It's been a great wish of mine to get a job over here in rainy London and I am so thrilled with the small Starbucks I've found. If you've never been to the one on Great Portland street you must go! Starbucks' tend to be busy and tourist-filled (at least in Central London) but this one is a little hidden gem with a cosy atmosphere and friendly baristas ;)

After my first day as a partner there* I made my way to Primark to buy some collared shirts for work, but y'know, one can hardly ever get away with just buying what they need in Primark. So I ended up with a new coat, a new shirt, a new top, two new sweaters and the best fluffy sock slippers! Naughty me *slaps on wrist*

Really excited for this week as they're turning on the Christmas lights in several places. I've only got three shifts this week and I'm planning on spending the rest of the days searching for the perfect red scarf for Winter, possibly some warm Winter boots and a wonderful new book to bring with me to the park.

May I just add at the end of this post that I've been enjoying reading everyone's blogs extra this past week. I've been checking blogger constantly praying for new posts throughout the day :)

Now, hope you've all had a lovely weekend. I'm off for a bit of cardio and then ending the night with my girl friends and possibly some gossip ;) x

ps. my sister is a Starbucks manager in Switzerland - hence the title of the blog ;)

*  (they call their employees 'partners' instead of staff etc. everyone who works at Starbucks get a share in Starbucks how cool is that? I even had to assign a person who would get my share if something were to happen to me. Mum, you got all 100%! Though I'm sure you never hope to get it)

My daily life seen through my phone

1) After seeing hundreds of cards saying "From Nanna & grandad" and the bank lady telling how her grandchildren call her by 'Nanna' I have come to the decision that I shall be called by my middle name here in the UK. Hence Emma on my Starbucks cup (chai latte nonfat, my fave)

2) Lovely bunting on streets. Not quite sure if they mean anything but they were definitely pretty.

 3) + 4) If Selfridges can decorate for Christmas in October I can listen to Christmas songs.

5) Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans and a Chocolate Frog. They've only got one good jump in them haven't they?

6) Visiting Camden Market

7) I've been spending a rather big amount of time in the underground (sounds like I'm some kind of evil creature)

8) Recently discovered my new favourite candle smell! Cinnamon stick, it's literally Christmas and Cosiness in a jar. Treating myself this bad boy as soon as I get my first pay.

9) New floral mug from Cath Kidston, it was my first time ever in one of their shops and my friend had to drag me out of there. Really want a foral pajamas from their shop!

10) Fab candle cakes in Liberty.

11) LA Burger with avocado, cottage cheese and spicey nachos. We splurged a little that day and went for a big lunch.

12) New floral shoulder bag from Urban Outfitters. It was originally 28 pounds but I found it in the sale for only 5. It's not very Autumn-ish though but I always love a good floral item so I bought it and will probably use it for Spring or Summer.

What have I been up to #2

Picture: Every morning starts with joint breakfast with the rest of the house x

001. Monday.... Is it bad that I can't actually remember what I did last Monday? Time goes by so fast when you see and meet new things and people all the time!

002. Tuesday was spent partly in Hampstead partly in Central London. I went to the bank and got myself an English bank account! Luckily, it wasn't painful as I had anticipated. Sometimes I find such things as going to the bank, calling the dentist ect. scary cause I haven't really been doing it much. But it went really good!
I went out with a group of friends in the evening. Found a pub and basically had a smashing night. Three Irish gentlemen paid for every single one of my drinks so I actually had a night out paid for. Cheers to the Irishmen!

003. Wednesday was very chill. We might have been slightly hungover, so we didn't do much throughout the day. Slept late, watched a movie.

004. On Thursday I went to the doctor to get registered. Unfortunately I needed two proofs of my current address and as I only have one I'll have to come back another day. After that I spent the day with three friends where I went amok in Primark... It covered all of my lusts for shopping though, so it was probably quite good to get it out of my system.
Later that day most of K went on a pubcrawl. We went on 3-4 pubs here in Hampstead and it was really nice to talk to some new faces. For some reason Christine and I always wander off towards the end though; so we always end up walking to really strange places, not being able to find back home again. We always have fun though! Thursday was a really fun day.

005. Friday was very Wednesday-like.. I don't really ever do much the day after I've been out. Am I the only one?
I slept late, went for a run that turned out much longer than expected because I got lost in Hampstead Heath. So I did have a little adventure that day actually! I watched a movie and played a boardgame with some friends, had a lovely and much needed skypedate with my mum and nan. That was my exciting Friday ♥

006. Saturday was the day I finally got my English phone number! I took the tube from Hampstead to Chalk Farm after breakfast to have a little wander in Primrose Hill. We got a little lost though so without knowing where we were going we ended up right back home without realizing... So we pretty much walked a gazillion km. As we ended up back at the house we decided to just eat lunch at home and that was when we got our simcard in the mail. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon activating that, and then we went grocery shopping for a couple of hours.

007. Sunday was the most eventful day of the week. Christine and I went on a trip to Cambridge. We spent about 4 hours driving in a bus that day, but it was all worth it 'cause Cambridge is such a beautiful city. All the old colleges are as if taken out of a book. I took millions of pictures and I'll show a few handfulls of them very soon. When we got home at around 7 in the evening we ate some food and then we went into central London with five others to find a pub. Pubs are definitely my thing much better than going out at home in Denmark :)
